DAY ONE
You’ll start your tour by riding out through the historic city of Armagh to the Fermanagh Lakelands, the island town of Enniskillen and its 16th century castle. Crossing the border at the bridge between Belcoo and Blacklion, you’ll ride west to the spectacular surf spot of Mullaghmore Head, where powerful waves crash in off the Atlantic Ocean. End the day riding up the Wild Atlantic Way to your hotel in vibrant Donegal Town.
DAY TWO
Day 2 is spent exploring Donegal Bay and the Blue Stack Mountains. You’ll see the extraordinary sea cliffs of Slieve League and the secluded bay of Malinbeg, with its horseshoe-shaped Silver Strand beach. Ride every contour of the beautiful valley of Gleann Cholm Cille, before heading east to traverse the magnificent high mountain scenery of the Glengesh Pass. You’ll head north to the seaside villages of Narin and Portnoo, where 2km of white sand and beautiful scenery await, then back to Donegal Town for the night.
DAY THREE
On Day 3 you’ll tour central Donegal, with its bogland, loughs and rugged landscape, eventually emerging from this magical wilderness to pick up the Wild Atlantic Way as it weaves north to the picture-perfect fishing harbour of Burtonport and onward to the seaside village of Kincasslagh. You’ll head to your hotel in Letterkenny through the Derryveagh Mountains, riding between the shores of Dunlewy Lough and Donegal’s tallest peak, the iconic Errigal.
DAY FOUR
Day 4 begins with a ride to the 15th century Doe Castle, jutting out into Sheephaven Bay, then along a breathtaking stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way — Downies Atlantic Drive — as it tours the Rosguill Peninsula. Riding further north along the spectacular coastline, you’ll arrive at Fanad Head, where the cliff-top lighthouse offers sensational views. Visit Portsalon — once named the second most beautiful beach in the world — on the shores of Lough Swilly on your return to Letterkenny.
DAY FIVE
On Day 5 you’ll embark on a motorcycle tour of the Inishowen Peninsula. Explore dramatic coastal defences dating to the Napoleonic Wars at Fort Dunree, before riding inland to the Gap of Mamore, where a narrow pass opens up to give you incredible Atlantic views. Immerse yourself in local history amid the original thatched cottages of Doagh Famine Village, then ride to the cliffs of Malin Head, the northernmost point in Ireland. Complete your route around the peninsula at the coastal town of Moville, where you will spend the night.
DAY SIX
A scenic ferry crossing of Lough Foyle is the perfect wake-up on Day 6, before you tackle the North West 200 route between the seaside resorts of Portstewart and Portrush. You’ll pass the gravity-defying Dunluce Castle and world-renowned Giant’s Causeway on the coast road to the idyllic fishing village of Ballintoy, better known to Game of Thrones viewers as the Iron Islands. Finishing your tour in style, you’ll ride the famous Antrim Coast Road as it winds past the spectacular coastline at Torr Head, the quaint fishing harbour at Carnlough and the lush Glens of Antrim, before heading for an optional overnight in Moira or Belfast.
