Hiring Conditions


Deposits


A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of your booking is required at the time of booking and is payable by Debit/Credit Card or PayPal on flyrideireland.com. The remaining balance of your booking is due 21 days from the start date of your booking at the latest and can be paid at any time after the initial payment is made. This is payable by Debit/Credit Card or PayPal on flyrideireland.com in the user login area.

If your booking is less than 28 days from the start of the booking you will be required to pay the balance in full at the point of purchase.


Refunds


All deposit payments are non refundable.

In the event of booking cancellation (or No Show), Flyride Ireland will obtain, from the Client, payment in full for all sums due as detailed below:


Cancellation – 29 days or over prior to booking commencementNo further payment will be required.
Cancellation – 15 days to 28 days prior to booking commencement50% of the total booking balance payment due will be payable.
Cancellation – Less than 14 days prior to booking commencementFull amount of the total booking balance payment due will be payable.

Any balance payments due will be collected via the Debit / Credit Card as used for the deposit payment.


Drivers


The following persons or classes pf persons are entitles to drive:

Any authorised and licensed driver aged 25 – 79 who has held their full UK/ EU / Australian / New Zealand / Canadian / USA / South African issued license for a minimum of 2 years.

For pillion use: Any authorised and licensed driver aged 35 – 70 who hasheld their full UK / EU / Australian / New Zealand / Canadian / USA / South African issued license for a minimum of 3 years.


Unacceptable Hirers


Unless the insurers have been notified and have agreed otherwise, no vehicle(s) will be driven by any person(s) who to the policyholder’s knowledge:

  • Suffers from any notifiable medical condition, which he or she has been required to disclose to the DVLA.

  • Has been convicted during the last 5 years of an offence (or has anysuch prosecution pending) for Dangerous Driving (All DD), Drink/Drugs (All DR/DG), Taking/Stealing (All UT), Failing to Stop/Report (All AC), Motor Racing (MS52 or MS60), Careless Driving(All CD) or No Insurance (All IN).

  • Has been banned from driving for any period during the last 3 years.

  • Has accumulated more than 8 unexpired license endorsements penalty points.

  • Has any criminal convictions.

  • Is under 25 years of age, or over 79 years of age (35-70 for pillion use).

  • Has held their license in respect of the class of vehicle being driven for less than 2 years (3 years for pillion use).

  • Has had more than one accident in the last 3 years, where he or shewas to blame.


Unacceptable Hirer Occupations


Hirers engaged in any of the following acts, occupations or professions areunacceptable under this policy:

  • Professional sport

  • Racing

  • Gambling

  • Modelling or entertainment (other than as a classical musician)

  • Hawking or general dealing

  • Street or market trading

  • Students

  • A member of the United Kingdom armed forces aged under 25

  • A member of the armed forces of any other country


Territorial Limits


UK and ROI only (any overseas cover requirements to be referred to insurers)

Identification

Regardless of the basis agreed the following requirements will always apply:

  • A rental agreement must be fully completed and signed by the hirer.

  • The identity of the driver/hirer must be established beyond reasonable doubt by two means of identification in addition to the driving licence.

Suitable means of identification include:

  • Any major credit card or cheque book

  • Passport

  • Bank statement (not more than 1 month old)

  • A photocopy will be taken and retained with the rental agreement

Licence & CBT

We will check that the hirer’s licence and/or CBT certificate and the licence/CBT certificate of anyone else who will drive the motorcycle is current, valid for the vehicle being hired and that the address shown on the licence is the hirer’s/driver’s current address. A photocopy will be taken and retained with the rental agreement.

Excess Insurance

It is hereby noted that the policy excess of £1000 in respect of all Motorcycles.

Collection/Return times

Collection from 08.30 and return by 18.00.

Mileage Limits

A limit of 220 Miles/350 Kms per day applies. Excess mileage is charged at 50p per mile.
