Terms & Conditions
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of your booking is required at the time of booking and is payable by Debit/Credit Card or PayPal on flyrideireland.com. The remaining balance of your booking is due 21 days from the start date of your booking at the latest and can be paid at any time after the initial payment is made. This is payable by Debit/Credit Card or PayPal on flyrideireland.com in the user login area.
If your booking is less than 28 days from the start of the booking you will be required to pay the balance in full at the point of purchase.
All deposit payments are non refundable.
In the event of booking cancellation (or No Show), Flyride Ireland will obtain, from the Client, payment in full for all sums due as detailed below:
|Cancellation – 29 days or over prior to booking commencement||No further payment will be required.|
|Cancellation – 15 days to 28 days prior to booking commencement||50% of the total booking balance payment due will be payable.|
|Cancellation – Less than 14 days prior to booking commencement||Full amount of the total booking balance payment due will be payable.|
Any balance payments due will be collected via the Debit / Credit Card as used for the deposit payment.
Regardless of the basis agreed the following requirements will always apply:
A rental agreement must be fully completed and signed by the hirer.
The identity of the driver/hirer must be established beyond reasonable doubt by two means of identification in addition to the driving licence.
Suitable means of identification include:
Any major credit card or cheque book
Bank statement (not more than 1 month old)
A photocopy will be taken and retained with the rental agreement
Licence & CBT
We will check that the hirer’s licence and/or CBT certificate and the licence/CBT certificate of anyone else who will drive the motorcycle is current, valid for the vehicle being hired and that the address shown on the licence is the hirer’s/driver’s current address. A photocopy will be taken and retained with the rental agreement.
Unless previously agreed with us the motorcycle will not be let out on hire to or driven by:
Any persons under 16 years of age
Any persons aged over 16 years of age but under 22 years of age must be free of any convictions or accidents, other than proven non-fault accidents.
Any persons aged over 22 years of age who have been disqualified from driving during the last 24 months or who have currently on their licence three or more convictions or any of the following office codes in the last 5 years:
- UT – Theft or unauthorised taking
- DR – Drink or Drugs
- DD – Dangerous Driving
- BA – Driving whilst disqualified
- LC – Licence
- CD – Careless Driving
Any person who have had less than 24 months regular driving experience of a motor vehicle as a fully licenced driver under a licence issued in the United Kingdom in respect of any motorcycle exceeding 25 c.c.
Any persons who have had less than 24 months recent and regular driving of a motor vehicle as a fully licenced driver and are holders of a licence issued outside the United Kingdom but which is valid in the United Kingdom.
Any persons engaged in any of the following occupations:
- Food delivery services
- Bookmakers, turf accountants, gambling industry including amusement arcade, fruit machine, casino or club employees
- Entertainment and related industries including fairground employees
- Professional sports persons
- Professional models
- Publicans or persons working in the licenced trade
- Street and market traders
- Scrap Metal merchants and dealers
- Diplomatic Personnel
- Courier or messengers
- Students under 25 years of age
Any persons who have had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and or insurance or cover cancelled by any motor insurer.
Any persons who have any criminal convictions.
Any persons who have any physical or mental defect, impairment of sight, hearing, heart, diabetic or epileptic condition or other complaint unless they have notified the DVLA and a licence has been issued, and the conditions or restrictions to that licence are kept to.
Any persons who have been involved in more than on-fault incident within a 3-year period immediately prior to hiring a vehicle.
It is hereby noted that the policy excess of £250 is increased to £500 in respect of all Motorcycles with a engine size over 600cc.
No motorcycle will be let out on hire to or driven by anyone under the following ages:
Motorcycle groups 1-8 Under 16 years of age
Motorcycle groups 9-12 Under 21 years of age
Motorcycle groups 13-20 Under 25 years of age
