Beautiful scenery: Ireland is known for its rolling hills and its 40 shades of green, but there is so much more to our island than that. Dublin is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, with a great mix of modern and historic architecture. Our North Coast is one of the worlds most famous and beautiful locations, with the Giants Causeway its undisputed gem.
Packed with history: From ancient history to modern times, Ireland has been a pivotal location in world events. The Brú Na Bóinne site in County Meath predates the pyramids of Egypt at over 5000 years old. You can also visit the Titanic Museum, a 4th century fortress at The Rock of Cashel and learn about Ireland’s Neutrality in WW2.
Festivals and music: You are never short of a party in Ireland, we are a country that loves having fun! We have festivals for every type of entertainment you can imagine, if you love music check out the annual festival at Slane Castle. For a list of other interesting events, follow this link.
Outstanding road trips: Our roads are known by motorcyclists across the globe for being exceptionally fun to ride. The twisting bends through picturesque scenery and famous road racing locations (Ulster Grand Prix and North West 200) make it the perfect road trip destination. Visit legendary motorsport locations, monuments to heroes like Joey Dunlop and experience a two wheeled trip like no other.
Thriving food scene: With so many excellent places to eat, you will never go hungry in Ireland. We are known for our generous portions and famous dishes like Irish Stew, Soda Bread and a good fry up. For those who are looking for fine dining, both Dublin and Belfast boast a wealth of exceptional restaurants.
Outdoor adventures: There is so much to do outdoors in Ireland while your motorbike is at the side of the road, from seaweed foraging in Cork to staying in a castle in Connemara. You can try kayaking in County Kerry, catch and cook in County Mayo, stay in a yurt in County Leitrim or canoe trail in Country Down. There is always something fun to do outdoors!
The home of Guinness: Who could talk about visiting Ireland without mentioning Guinness? The famous stout is considered part of the culture here and you can not only try it for yourself while you are here, you can actually go to the Guinness Storehouse and see how it is made! The tour is one of the top recommended things to do in Dublin so be sure to visit when you are here!
